Our commitment to you
Every person who reads Abmantra is trusting us with something valuable their time, their curiosity and in many cases their genuine desire to understand a spiritual tradition that matters deeply to them.
We do not take that lightly.
This page explains exactly how we decide what to publish, how we research and write our content, how we handle corrections and how we manage commercial relationships so they never compromise editorial integrity.
If you have a question about anything on this page, write to us at abmantra1314@gmail.com. We will respond within 48 hours.
Who writes for Abmantra
Every article on Abmantra is written by a named author with direct personal experience in the topic they are covering.
We do not publish anonymous content. We do not publish articles written by people with no connection to Hindu spiritual practice, Indian culture or the specific subject matter of the article.
Our current writing team:
Bhawna Anand covers mantras, Vedic spirituality, festival puja vidhi, Sanskrit pronunciation and spiritual lifestyle. Seven years of daily mantra practice. Sanskrit studies at Chinmaya Mission Delhi.
Rishabh Kumar covers personal finance, digital investment platforms, gold loans and fintech relevant to the Indian reader. Postgraduate degree in Finance from Delhi University. Six years in personal finance advisory.
Every author page on Abmantra includes the author’s full name, relevant background, areas of expertise and a contact email. We believe readers deserve to know who is telling them something especially on topics as meaningful as spiritual practice.
How we research our articles
Our research process has three tiers depending on the content category.
Spiritual and cultural content
Primary sources first. For mantra articles, we begin with the original Vedic text the Rigveda, Atharvaveda, Upanishads or relevant Puranas before consulting any secondary source. We identify the specific verse, hymn and mandala where a mantra originates rather than relying on other websites’ attributions.
Classical commentaries second. We consult recognised scholarly commentaries Adi Shankaracharya’s Upanishad commentaries, Sayana’s Rigveda commentary, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan’s translations for interpretation of meaning.
Contemporary scholarship third. For scientific claims about mantra and meditation we rely only on peer-reviewed research published in indexed academic journals. We cite every study with the author’s full name, journal name, volume number and year of publication. We do not cite studies we cannot verify.
Personal experience throughout. Our writers add their own direct observations from practice specific, honest and clearly identified as personal experience rather than universal fact.
Finance content
All finance articles are written by Rishabh Kumar whose background is in personal finance advisory. Every factual claim interest rates, regulatory guidelines, product features is verified against the primary source: RBI circulars, SEBI guidelines, official bank and NBFC product pages or AMFI data. Finance articles carry a standard disclaimer that the content is educational and does not constitute financial advice.
Product reviews and recommendations
We only recommend products that have been personally used by a team member or subjected to careful comparative research. Affiliate relationships where they exist are always disclosed. An affiliate relationship never determines whether a product is recommended. We have declined affiliate partnerships with products we do not genuinely believe in.
Our fact-checking process
Every article goes through the following before publishing:
Stage 1 Source verification Every factual claim is traced to its primary source. If a claim cannot be verified at the primary source level it is either removed or clearly labelled as “traditionally believed” or “commonly reported” rather than presented as fact.
Stage 2 Cultural accuracy review Spiritual and cultural content is reviewed for accuracy against classical texts and, where necessary, cross-checked with qualified Sanskrit scholars or practising priests. We consult Pandit Rajeshwar Sharma of the Chinmaya Mission Delhi for verification of Sanskrit pronunciation and Vedic references.
Stage 3 Editorial review Every article is read by a second team member before publishing not just for accuracy but for tone, balance and genuine usefulness. We ask one question before every publish: does this leave the reader better informed than when they arrived?
Stage 4 Final check Publication date, author bio, source citations, internal links and schema markup are verified before the article goes live.
How we handle errors and corrections
We make mistakes. Every publication does. What matters is how we handle them.
If we publish a factual error – We correct it within 48 hours of identifying it, clearly note the correction at the bottom of the article with the date it was made and if the error was significant, we add an editor’s note at the top of the article explaining what was corrected and why.
If a reader identifies an error – We investigate it seriously. If the reader is correct, we correct and credit them. We do not delete critical comments or pretend corrections did not happen.
If our interpretation differs from a reader’s tradition – Hinduism encompasses enormous diversity across regions, sampradayas and family traditions. Where our article reflects one interpretation and a reader’s tradition holds another, we acknowledge both and update the article to reflect the diversity of practice where appropriate.
To report an error write to abmantra1314@gmail.com with the article URL and the specific claim you believe is incorrect. Include your source if you have one. We will respond within 48 hours.
Our policy on sponsored content
Abmantra accepts sponsored content from brands whose products and services are genuinely relevant to our readers.
What we will accept – Sponsored articles from spiritual wellness brands, Ayurveda companies, puja samagri sellers, spiritual travel operators, religious book publishers, meditation and yoga platforms and astrology services that align with our content focus.
What we will never accept – Sponsored content from brands in categories unrelated to our niche finance companies buying placement in spiritual articles, fashion brands, cryptocurrency platforms, betting or gambling services or any brand whose product we would not recommend to a reader we care about.
Our disclosure rules non-negotiable Every sponsored article carries a clear “Sponsored” label at the top of the page visible before the reader begins reading, not buried at the bottom. All outgoing links in sponsored content carry the rel=”sponsored” attribute as required by Google’s guidelines. We never remove or obscure sponsorship disclosures under any circumstances.
Editorial independence Sponsors do not determine editorial content. A sponsor cannot request that we remove factual information, add false claims, alter our honest assessment of a product or publish content that contradicts our editorial standards. If a sponsor requests any of these things, we decline the partnership.
Sponsored content is written to the same quality and accuracy standards as all other Abmantra content. A reader should find a sponsored article as genuinely useful as a non-sponsored one or we do not publish it.
Our policy on affiliate links
Some articles on Abmantra contain affiliate links primarily to Amazon India and Flipkart through which we earn a small commission if a reader makes a purchase. This commission comes at no additional cost to the reader.
Our affiliate disclosure Any article containing affiliate links carries a disclosure statement near the top of the article stating that the article contains affiliate links. We do not hide affiliate relationships.
How affiliate relationships affect our recommendations They do not. We recommend products because we genuinely believe they are the best option for our readers not because they carry the highest commission rate. Where a non-affiliate product is better than an affiliate one, we recommend the non-affiliate product.
We have declined to include affiliate links in articles where we did not find a product we could honestly recommend. An empty affiliate section is better than a dishonest recommendation.
Our policy on artificial intelligence
AI tools are used at Abmantra as research and organisational aids for identifying keyword opportunities, structuring article outlines and checking factual consistency.
The writing of every published article the actual sentences, paragraphs, personal observations and cultural insights is done by a human author with genuine knowledge of the subject. We do not publish AI-generated text as finished content.
The reason is simple: our E-E-A-T depends entirely on our authors’ genuine experience and expertise. An AI tool cannot replicate seven years of daily mantra practice or six years of financial advisory work. That lived knowledge is what makes Abmantra worth reading and it cannot be automated.
Our approach to sensitive and controversial topics
Hindu spiritual tradition encompasses genuine diversity across regions, sampradayas, family lineages and contemporary interpretations. Some topics within this tradition carry real historical complexity.
We do not avoid complexity. Questions like “who can chant which mantras,” the historical context of Vedic restrictions, the difference between traditional and reform interpretations we address these directly with honesty, nuance and respect for all perspectives.
We present multiple views. Where a topic has legitimate differences of interpretation across reputable traditions, we present those differences rather than imposing a single view.
We do not take political positions. Abmantra covers spiritual and cultural content. We do not publish content that uses Hindu tradition to advance political agendas of any kind.
We respect all traditions. While our focus is Hindu spirituality, we do not publish content that disrespects any other religion, tradition or belief system.
Content update policy
Spiritual content particularly mantra meanings, festival dates and Ayurvedic recommendations can evolve as scholarship develops or as new research emerges. We update our articles when:
- New peer-reviewed research changes or strengthens a claim we have made
- A reader or expert identifies a factual error that is verified
- Festival dates or calendar information changes for a new year
- A product we have recommended is discontinued or significantly changed
- Our own continued practice or study gives us deeper insight worth adding
Every updated article carries a “Last reviewed” date at the top so readers know when it was most recently verified.
